Description

Rug with center panel of diamond shaped lattice and six sided mihrab arch in dark blue on ivory ground. Each opening in the lattice is filled with a multi colored stylized flower. Multiple borders: three multi colored floral on blue ground; one with multi colored squares with center diamond. Edges are bound in red. Appraisal identification as a Daghestan prayer rug. "S.W. Phillips" tag sewn on reverse.
