Portrait of a ship overtuned in turrid waters. Four masts are broken and the sails are drawn. On the boat there are three people standing. Two rowboats to the left of the painting by the bow of the ship are filled with crew members going to shore. Nine people stand along the shoreline. The ship in a twisted perspective and the people are out of scale. Rolling hills in the background under a stormy sky. Some seaguls fly over the ocean in a line. The title appears across the very bottom of the painting. Simple frame painted gold.
