"Ship 'Brookline' of Salem. / Built at Medford Mass in 1831 for S.C. Phillips. / 349 tons. 120 ft. long, 25.2 ft beam. 12.7 ft deep. / Registered Jun 29. 1833. Stephen C. Phillips owner. / The 'Brookline' while owned by Mr. Phillips / made six voyages to Manilla with / which port Mr. Phillips had an extensive / trade. and one voyage to the West Coast / of South America. She was commanded / by Geo. Pierce, ... Robinson and C.H. Allen / In April 1844 she arrived in Boston / and was sold there. She was afterwards / used as a whaler out of New London / and finally sent to Buenos Ayres in the / early 60s and broken up there. / Copy made in 1903 by M.
