Description

Needlework sampler with two halves of embroidered decoration in green, orange, yellow, red, blue, brown, black, and white. Left half of sampler has seven rows of embroidery. Each row has geometric shapes or stylized flowers. One row has three white birds. Right half of sampler has six rows of embroidery. One row has lost most of its embroidery threads. Each row has a floral or leaf pattern. Bottom row has blue birds in black lattice. Sampler uses pulled thread, satin stitch, and cross-stitch techniques. Original colors can be seen on the reverse side. Text sewn along top of panel "Cste. Dech_ _ _ _s Parm Dolas nin_ _ _ _ W. Sagu_ _"
