Description

Cream porcelain with brown enamel trim sauceboat and lid. Oval with curved handles that meet at a curved foot plate. Leaf pattern in brown enamel on handle seam and lid top, brown bands on lid tiers and boat mouth, foot and plate edge. Lid has two tiers and lid loop for a finger. Deep cup for sauce and semi-circular lid cut-out, for a serving spoon or ladle, and a corresponding cut-out on lid top. Underside has kylix-like hollow fingerhole for handling. Imprinted "WEDGWOOD/ [V]" on underside.
