Description

Rug with center field of rows of boteh in blue and red on an ivory ground. There are multiple narrow borders of red and blue rosette patterns on ivory ground. The widest border has boteh, palmettes, and rosettes on a meandering vine in blue and ivory on a red ground. The edges of the rug are bound in red.
This rug appears in a 1918 photograph of Stevie Phillips standing in the Parlor [P425, now 2006.44.848]
