Dark green velvet evening gown with flared skirt and bell shaped sleeves with scalloped edges. The sleeves are decorated with green embroidered leaves. There is also an embroidered leaf inset in the "V" of the necline. The gown has an attached green velevet belt with a metal filagree clasp. There is a four snap button and 1 hook closure under the left arm. The gown has a detachable green silk slip that has thin shoulder straps and four snap button closures under the left arm. The under arms of the gown have sewn in protectors made by "Kleinert's Modine Double JAP. silk internlined guaranteed Made in U.S. America Rt 3, 590". There is no maker's label.
