Description

Black ankle length women's dress with a orange and green V-shaped neck. The full length fitted sleeves have bands attached just above and below the elbow with green and orange fabric sewn in the inside edge. Possibly used for a shawl or other accessory-now missing. The V-shaped neckline has an attached green and orange necktie with weighted ends. The full flared skirt has a diagonal seam that runs from the right hip to the left knee. In the underarms are silk underarm shields that are filled with a brittle substance. Some CB damage to shields. Had to cut bottom attachment to dress in order to bag the shields. The inner substance was falling out. Shileds made by "Kleinert". The back of the dress has a sewn knotted bow tied near the left hip-it is not centered. At the base of the neck there are seven sew verticle lines. Shields completely removed from dress due to deterioration.
