Description

High chest with five drawers. Pierced brass bat wing shaped drawer hardware. The two parts of the chest came from two different pieces of furniture in the Jewett House. The family split up the the two pieces and "married" the current top and bottom parts of the chest. The top section of the high chest was originally located in Mary's Bedroom of the Sarah Orne Jewett House in South Berwick, Maine.
