Description

Long brown crepe women's dress with orange trim and embroidery and attached belt. The dress has full length fitted sleeves. From elbow to wrist the sleeve is made of orange silk. The wrist has a five button and loop closure. The dress has a v-shaped neckline with decorative orange collar and yoke. There are orange embroidered dashes and crosses at the base of the V. The belt is made of brown crepe and has two large buttons. Sewn into the armpits are Kleinerts arm shields. There is a maker's label attached at the back of the neck "Mary Cummings Louisville." The dress also has a slightly flared skirt. Under the left arm along the side seam is a five button and one hook closure. The back of the dress has a decorative "W" shaped seam just above the belt.
