Noddle Island Ferry, East Boston, Mass., 1911

Description

This cyanotype depicts the ferry "Noddle Island" loaded with cars, carriages and pedestrians. The ship's bridge is decorated with a large eagle and the captain can be seen inside. On the shore a building painted with an advertisement for a fish freezer, stands out from other factories.
