Description

Tall case clock. Upper case features a scrolled pediment terminating in brass foliate roundels and a brass orb finial at center. Open wood reed columns on either side of clock face with brass Corinthian capitals. Clock face has painted black Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes and is mounted on a brass plate with applied ormolu scrolls at corners. Clock is surmounted by a painted river scene with buildings and a man fishing, Banner with the name "WILLm SYKES, HOLBECK" painted in black above painting. Lower case features reed column pilasters an inlaid abstract shell within an ellipse on the case door. All on stepped base with bracket feet.
