Tea gown

Description

One piece black silk dress with double sleeves. The ankle length dress has fitted elbow length ivory silk under-sleeves with pleated black chiffon at the cuffs. The black silk over-sleeves are free flowing triangles with diagonal pleated pattern. The stand up collar and center bodice panel are a black net over an ivory crepe layer. The collar fastens around the back of the neck with four hoop and loop closures. Around the net bodice panel is a floral black lace trimmed with pleated black chiffon ruffle. The ruffle continues down the center of the dress to the top of the knee. The dress closes up the front with eight hook and loop closures on the upper layer, and four silk covered buttons on the silk under-layer. Inside the dress, just below the breasts, is an ivory tie. The front hem is slightly shorter than the back, creating a small triangle. The entire dress has an ivory silk lining with a black pleated ruffle around the bottom of the skirt. The bottom half of the skirt is divided into five wide diagonal bands with pleats. The back of the dress is similar to the front, with the black lace and ruffle around the back of the collar. The five diagonal bands continue around the back of the skirt. The back of the train is attached at the shoulder blades, it falls to the floor and is trimmed with black silk ruffles.
