Riding skirt

Description

Black wool riding skirt. The skirt has a slit on the right side with a hook and eye at the top and three black fabric covered buttons beneath it. There is a fabric piece that forms an interior pocket extending from the button side of the slit. There is also a black ribbon extending from the upper seam of the pocket. There are two black buttons on the front and one in the middle and the other on the left side just below the waistband. There is extra fabric on the left side to allow room fro the knees when riding side saddle. There are various asymmetrical seams running horizontally, vertically and diagonally across the skirt. There is a black fabric loop on the left side in the middle of the extra fabric mass. The bottom length of the skirt is also asymmetrical and is longer on the left that the right. The dress is lined with a sturdy brown cotton material from the top to approximately halfway down the skirt. On the inside lower left of the front there is a long black elastic loop sewn in and reinforced with a vertical strip of a strong brown canvas material. The back has a black button in the middle, just below the waistline. There are various asymmetrical seams throughout the skirt. There is also visibly a mass of extra fabric from the back of the left side. On the inside of the back, attached to the lining fabric is another long black elastic loop located approximately in the middle of the extra mass of the material toward the left side.
