Shawl

Description

Large black square embroidered silk shawl. One corner of the shawl is heavily embroidered with flowers, leaves, and curly and curvy lined motifs. The edge of the embroidery extends out three-fourths of the way to the corners on either side of the main corner. The central design is primarily flowers and leaves, while the "arms" extend out created by curved lines and arched shapes filled with leaves. Scattered above the design are small floral embroideries. The back of the embroidery shows both green and brown yarn-like threads sewn into the embroidery to give the front a puffy, three dimensional affect. The hem is on the back and is done with a blind stitch so that it's not visible from the front.
