Riding skirt

Description

Camel colored split skirt made of a heavy canvas. The waistband of the skirt is a narrow strip of canvas that does not go all the way around to the front. Instead, there is a center front panel that is attached to the waist band by two hook and eyes on both corners of the panel. Down both sides of the center panel are five buttons that can be undone to fold down the panel. Extending down the skirt in the same rows of the buttons are six more buttons each side of the skirt. The front panel is able to be kept flat and buttoned down the right side to maintain the skirt appearance or it detached from the waistband halfway across so that it can be folded over and buttoned to the left row of the buttons to give the split skirt of full trouser appearance. The skirt widens from the waistband to the bottom creating a full skirt. The back fo the waistband has three hooks on the inside. The back of the skirt shows the split skirt option only with no flaps or buttons. The center seam is a split seam from the waistband to approximately five inches down. Starting below that is the split separating the legs which is formed by a huge inverted pleat that allows both sides of the legs to lay flat along the split giving it the appearance of not being split.
