Long sleeveless peach silk nightgown. The neckline is a v-shaped and is bordered by three narrow bands of thicker peach silk connected together and attached to the dress by decorative stitching. At the V the bands of silk are woven together and then continue on down forming an oval or teardrop shaped design just below the point of the V. Inside the oval is a stylized embroidered APP monogram, with the A on top and the two P's below it. Just below the arm holes there are four horizontal darts and below them is a belt loop attached to the side seams. The nightgown has an a-line shape except that there are corner panels inserted at the bottom to give just the bottom a pronounced flare. The edges of the arm holes, the bottom edge and the seam where the corner panels are sewn on are all made of shiny, thicker peach silk. The back is plain and shows only a continuation of the border around the back of the neckline and the extra seams for the bottom corner panels. Across the top of the shoulders, connecting the front of the straps to the back is more decorative stitching.
