Women's black velvet tri-corn hat. The hat has a rounded crown and soft brim that is attached on both sides and in the back giving it the tri corn style. On the left side there is a decorative element made from black cording. There is a silver dollar sized circle that is open with velvet in the center and made of cording surrounded by long loops of black cords that form a fringe to the circle. On the underside of the hat, the brim is soft velvet, while the inside of the crown has the underside of the velvet. At the inside intersection of the crown and brim, there is a seam and along the inner edge there is a black band of fabric to help hold the hats circular shape on the inside.
