Description

Women's black felt hat. The hat has a medium-high crown that is circular and creased two thirds of the way around the top. Around the front half of the side of the crow, the felt has diagonal decorative ribbing. On the left side of the crown the material extends back in a gathered decorative wing. The brim is circular and has a wire sewn into the edge seam so that the brim can be manipulated into different shapes. The brim is wider around the front than the back. The underside of the brim and the inside of the crown show the backside of the felt fabric and are not as soft as the outside. There is a wide band of twill around the intersection of the brim and the crown. Sewn onto the front of the twill band is a cream colored "F." Through either side of the twill band there is a thin black elastic cord attached for a chin strap.
