Description

Women’s purple straw hat. The hat has a shallow crown with a rounded top and a brim that runs two thirds of the way around the hat. Around the brim there is a border attached to the sides of the crown. The border is made up of velvet violets in various shades of purple with yellow and green plastic centers. On the back of the back the brim is bent straight down and is completely covered in large velvet violets in varying shades of purple and yellow. The flowers extend to the top of the sides of the crown. There was a silver hatpin with a rose motif sticking into the back from the left. On the underside there is a separated strip of woven purple straw that is attached at the junction of the brim and crown and is lined on the inside with bright purple twill. The strip of straw is wider towards the back of the hat and extends down past the brim.
