Description

Album of 30 black-and-white photographs of bronze tablets marking bridges, highways, and public works projects constructed under William P. Callahan, Commissioner of Public Works, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Tablets are dated 1935-1954. Each tablet notes the name of the governor, commissioner and other noted people involved in construction. Bridges and highways are scattered throughout Massachusetts. Photographs are all labeled with name and location of bridge or highway, dates and other notes such as dedications and description of depiction on tablet. No individual dates on photographs
