Alexander W. Longfellow, (presumed) record of architectural commissions. Over 30 professionally made photographs document interiors and exteriors of buildings in Little Harbor, New Hampshire; Boston, Dorchester, Roxbury, Lancaster, Charlestown and Brookline, Massachusetts.; Allegheny and Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Included are views of sections of the elevated subway designed by Longfellow in Boston and Cambridge. Photographic quality is excellent; documentation needs to be improved. Connection with this well-known Boston architect seems probable, but not conclusively proven. Dates: 1890s.Compiled by (?) the firm of Longfellow, Alden & Harlow [or] a record of their projects.
