Description

Album of snapshots (three hand-tinted) of Mullikin family members, 1898-1904. Found in the Otis House, 1995. Approximately 30 snapshots.

Two images document several generations of the male line: Samuel Mullikin, M.G. Mullikin, T.E.M. White (who may be the principle photographer for the album) and Robert S. Mullikin. Views appear to be chiefly at the family residence at 46 High Street in Newburyport, MA, but also depict Framingham, MA and North Conway, NH. Views generally represent daily life of the family, i.e., young Robert typewriting, an unidentified man "at work on his book," Mother reading, "Annie and her spinning wheel," Grandma pushing Gyles in a wicker carriage, and children playing in a sandbox and with pets. One image of men, in and out of uniform, standing before a row of tents is labeled "Preparations for the Spanish War, Framingham, MA."
