An interior view of the underside of the roof of the Old Ship Meeting House in Hingham, Massachusetts, the only surviving 17th century meeting house in the United States. The elements of the hip roof structure are visible, such as the curved struts, king post, rafters, and purlins. A set of stairs leads to the roof.
