Ephemera: Greeting Cards: Christmas Cards
GUSN-195498
Female angels in diaphanous attire with wings of peacock feathers sound trumpets. The lamb of Christ lies in the center of a star, around which are arranged a dove, a wreath, and a crescent moon. A border of multicolored sunburst motifs adorns the right and lower edges of the card. The inscription reads: "Shout with joy, ye mortals. Pray for Christ is born on Christmas Day." The text may have been taken from the Christmas carol, "A Shout of Mighty Triumph" by Reverend George Pierce Grantham.
