Surface-mounted wood box with iron works mortised in. Only one of two coverplates on back is extant. Both were fastened with wrought nails. Deadbolt 5/8 x 1/4 x 5/8" long is key-operated from both sides. Bamberry, or plain, type of stock lock; wrought nails. Painted white. Tagged "lent by Capt. W. L. Willey"
