GUSN-196508
This view was photographed from 53 State Street and focuses on the Old State House and its balcony from which the Declaration of Independence was first read in Boston. The taller Oakes Ames Building, a short distance past the State House on Court Street, is the second tallest mason bearing-wall structure in the world. It was designed by Boston architects Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge.
