Description

Woven wool Shiraz rug. The center panel contains eight large diamonds. Each diamond contains two palms and various shaped rosettes. The field around the diamonds contains small rosettes, weeping willows, birds, and two large palms on each end. There are three borders. The inner and outer borders contain a band of multi-colored rosettes. The middle border has rosettes within diamonds separated by tulips creating a box effect. The bottom end has three small bands of multi-colored diamonds. The edges are bound in dark blue.
