Description

A color lithograph of the Dartmoor Prison. A large circular wall surrounds buildings of the prison. Inmates are scattered around between the buildings. The guards are dressed in red and there is a reservoir below the wall filled with blue water. A field surrounds the prison and there are fences at the bottom of the scene. Title and artist's name and date appear below the scene. References A through K on left and right sides. The frame is painted brown wood with a leather texture and silver inside the border.
