The engraving depicts a large detailed view of the large statuesque Brewer Fountain on Boston Common, "Presented to the City of Boston by Gardner Brewer, Esq." Figures can be seen strolling and playing. This engraving was drawn from a photograph by Allen, which was reproduced in Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper.
