This engraving is a front architectural view of the Bromfield Street Church, with an inset portrait of Rev Joseph Cummings. In the foreground is a street scene, full of people and carriages. The image of Rev. Cummings is taken from a daguerreotype by Southworth and Hawes. Accompanying the images is an article from Gleason's Pictorial entitled "Boston Pulpit--No. 17 / Bromfield Street Church / Rev. Joseph Cummings, Pastor / by Rev. Luther Farnham."
