Description

The advertisement is from the Boston Directory 1851. The Brown & Lawrence ad has an engraved image of the Old State House with the dome of the new State House visible in the background. The second page, not photographed, is from the Boston Directory for 1879 and has ads for businesses on State Street such as Aaron R. Gay & Co., stationers, at No. 130 State Street and the Boston Ice Company listed at No. 76 State Street.
