Belvidere Hall, Summer Residence of F. Gleason

Description

A detailed engraving that shows the summer home of the publisher and proprietor of the Gleason's Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion, Frederick Gleason. The house sits on a hill and the estate consists of about three acres of land. There are fountain ornaments in the front lawn and an extensive aviary attached to the house which contains hundreds of every type of fowl and bird that thrives in our climate. Horses and carriages are driving in front of the house. Includes views of "Entrance to the Grapery of the Belvidere Estate," "Fountain and Summer House at Belvidere Hall" and "Piazza of Belvidere Hall."
