Description

The second Masonic Temple building on this site was dedicated in 1867 but destroyed by fire in 1895. The image offers a view down Boylston Street to the intersection with Washington Street. A sign for Sage's Trunk Depot can be seen at the Washington Street intersection. Advertising can be seen on the rear of the Park Theatre building located on Washington Street. A few of the identified businesses on Tremont Street include the Boston Dress Cutting College, Home Savings Bank and Ivers & Pond Pianos. Streetcar tracks can be seen on Tremont and Boylston Streets
