Oval, drum-shaped vessel with high domed lid and bracket to hold butter knife; cast legs with lion masks and Egyptian heads, handles with lion masks, and knop in shape of a classical woman playing a lyre; engraved with ivy pattern and gothic "F" monogram; fitted, pierced insert for butter.
