Stamped on bottom: ""H & Co./ L"" and ""HAVILAND & CO./ LIMOGES""--see worksheet for drawing of inscription. ""Kovel's Dictionary of Marks"" lists these marks as being used after 1879. The Tuckers bought this set in 1867. Clearly there is a discrepancy in the book's information.
