Round terra cotta garden planter with molded leaves, swags and masks. Molded decorative elements appear to have been affixed to pot with a terra cotta slip. The body of the post exhibits horizontal finishing marks (or rilling) on the interior and exterior. Interior marks are much rougher and irregularly placed compared to exterior. These lines indicate that the pot was hand thrown or rubbed with a sponge after being slip cast. The interior of the pot exhibits irregular shaping of the pot- possibly the application of decorative elements pushed portions of the pot inward.
