Federal style inlaid shield-backed side chair. The lower point of the shield has six shapes painted on it that looks like ship sails. The splat is three bars, ending in a vase form. The stiles are short and molded and the seat is a slip seat. The front legs are molded, there are three stretchers, and the back legs have an inward curve toward the bottom.
