Chinese paper fan with wood handle. The ribs are created from wood and the fan part is two pieces of paper. The paper has been painted with houses, rocks, mountains for a background, and grass. All the people have had their clothing stitched and then put onto the fan, and their faces have been painted first and then put on. Each face is turned to look at a particular couple on the left side. The carvings on the outer two ribs have trees, and a house, and a couple of men.
