Tall cylindrical wood drum with a single membrane head. The membrane is secured to the top of the drum by a wooden ring and six ropes. The ropes are attached to the ring and run through six arched shaped openings in the base of the drum. Each rope has a carved wooden peg. There is one long peg entwined into a large knot of rope at the front of the drum. The wood surface is stained or painted with dark red brown highlights. A line of unstained wood can be seen near the top edge of the body of the drum, just below the head. The body and base of the drum are carvred from one piece of wood.
