Description

Serpentine front mahogany butler's secretary with cabinet top and four drawer bottom. The upper cabinet has a central urn finial, flanked by two floral headed figures on its pediment. There are three interior shelves. The bottom section has four serpentine front drawers. The top drawer has a fold down front lined with green baise. The top drawer also contains nine small cubbyholes and eight small drawers. There are four bracket feet. The central portion of the upper doors and top lower drawer have a figured mahogany veneer outlined by a narrow molding. All the original drawer pulls have been replaced by simple wooden knobs. Both the upper and lower sections have a brass handle on each side.
