Earthenware mug. Brown transfer-printed images on each side of a "G" and a "H" about the height of the mug. A young woman and her grandmother folding a large sheet represent the letter "G". The letter "H" is represented by an older woman in poor health; her family are tearful holidng onto her bed. The letters "G" and "H" are overpainted in yellow. A hand-painted rose-colored line encircles the inner, upper lip of the mug as well as down the center of the handle.
