Currently on exhibit at Castle Tucker: "4. Open Pony Phaeton. The Phaeton, fashionable since 1800 was a highly popular carriage for ladies' driving for its design was well adapted to show off ladies' costumes. This light and graceful, swell-bodied model with "C" and leaf springs was designed for looks, speed and comfort and perhaps to show off a handsome team. Black body and carriage. Black leather dash, fenders and trimming. Wheels 34" & 41" Track 58". Purchased of C.T. Walker & Co. 91 Federal Street, Boston, July 9, 1872."
