A room, with a fireplace, is shown in Arrowhead, the Bush-Melville House, owned by Herman Melville. The fireplace and chimney at Arrowhead was used as a model, and described in detail in Melville's short story published in The Putnam's Monthly Magazine in 1856 titled: "I and My Chimney."
