In a flag-draped box, Lindbergh and officials view the parade in Lindbergh's honor in Boston on July 22, 1927, celebrating his groundbreaking transatlantic flight. Lindbergh is third from the right. The man in uniform at the far right is Lt. Lester J. Maitland. Second from the right is Lt. Albert F. Hegenberger. Maitland and Hegenberger completed the first transpacific flight from California to Hawaii just five weeks after Lindbergh's transatlantic flight.
