Description

Early nineteenth century wool blanket. Hand-spun and woven. Dark brown and cream striped borders on length sides, two and a half inch border left side, four and three-fourth inch border right side. Top width side has a folded, hand-sewn seam; bottom width unfinished seam, reddish-brown binding, unraveled in the middle. Hand-stitched label in corner "X689," monogram cross-stitched in brown wool thread "LW" on bottom width.
