Buckle formed from two matching halves joined at center front, meant to attach to a fabric or leather strap (no longer extant) with a pressure hinge. Each half is a square silver-colored metal plaque with a design cast in bas relief depicting a child riding an animal, possibly a large cat or dog, with another child standing behind.
