Little/Brookline/ Mass."" 2) Incised around sides of jar: ""May ye 8 JD hur jug -1739/price 2s 6d [letters slightly above the numbers] give me to make/with your hand and I will/fill it if I can/Made by John Day, Pownal, Me.""
