A Chippendale music stand with a tripod base, with turned baluster and adjustable tilt support with brass candle holder. It has a turned central column that terminates in three snake feet. A horizontal arm fitted with a wooden screw projects from the back of the column. Into this fits a round member which goes up through the back of the stand and ends in a candle socket. The screw allows the arm to be raised and lowered thereby changing the position of the reading surface. It has its original brown finish.
