Each earring in th is pair is constructed from carved jet. The main pendant is an open teadrop with scallop-edged carvings that resemble ruffles. From the center interior of that oval hangs a smooth jet teardrop, suspended on small, black-enamelled jump rings. Pendants are suspended from a trefoil-shaped piece of carved jet attached to gold earwires. One earring broken, visible repairs of twisted wire to re-attach pendant to trefoil.
